Summer Fun Day Camps  Special Opportunity!!!

Shawnee County Parks and Rec. is offering day camps for children ages 6-12.  Several week long camps will be held at the  Dover Community Center,  Young folks will also be transported to other locations for some activities including crafts, swimming, and sports.  Enroll for 1 week or more.  Call 862-1630 for more information and start making your summer plans now!

Happening This Spring: 

Beginner Dance for Drill Team:  (ages 5-12)  Wednesdays, Feb 20 – Mar 12, 6:00 – 6:30 PM.  Fee: $14.  If you would like to learn the basics of drill team dance, this class is for you.  Participants will develop rhythm, balance, flexibility, and coordination through drill team style dance routines.  862-1630

Beginning Tumbling,  ), Sundays, March 2, 9, 16, 30.  Ages 4 – 6, 4:00 – 4:30 pm; ages 7 – 9, 4:30 – 5:00 pm.  Fee $10.  Instructor:  Lavella Buchmeier   To register call 862-1630.

Soccer Clinic: (children, ages 4-8)  Tuesday, Mar 25 – Apr 15, 6:00-8:00 PM, Fee:  $12.  What a kick! Children will love this soccer clinic, which will teach basic skills needed to play beginning soccer.  862.1630

T-Ball Clinic:(ages 4-6)  Thursdays, April 17 – May 8, 6:00-6:30PM  Fee $12  Children will have lots of fun learning the basic fundamentals of t-ball.  This clinic will build your child’s physical abilities and self confidence.  862-1630

Little Viking Softball: (children ages 6 - 12)  Saturday, Apr 26,  9:30-11:00 AM,  Fee: $15.   If you want to be the next Viking softball star, come and join a few of the Lady Vikings and learn the basics of softball.  They will teach the basics of hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running.  Bring your glove and your game face.  862-1630
